Meet-ups, playgroups and neighborhood gatherings

Pregnancy, birth, the postpartum months and becoming a parent are among the biggest transitions in life. Going through them alongside people who are in the thick of it at the same time turns an isolating stretch into the start of friendships.

So we make it easy for neighbors with children the same age, or the same due date, to find each other and meet up.

How they come together

Most meet-ups start in a cohort chat, which connects members by their child's due or birth date and by neighborhood. Someone suggests a walk on Thursday. Three people say yes. That is the whole mechanism, and it is why a group this size still produces friendships between people who live four blocks apart.

If you want to make a meet-up recurring, post it in your cohort and add it to the shared calendar so others can RSVP and get a reminder.

Already a member? Log in at hrpmamasgroups.com or open the app, and look under Your Groups for the cohort matching your child's due or birth date. The neighborhood chat links are pinned at the top of its messages. Not in a cohort yet, or looking for a subgroup? Browse them all in the subgroup directory and join the ones that fit. If you cannot find yours, write to us and we will get you set up.
