Coverage areas

The HRP Mamas online community is a diverse, inclusive space. There are three memberships, and each one opens a different set of groups. HRP Mamas for mothers, expectant mothers and birthing persons, and those who identify as mothers, who reside Downtown. Central Park Mamas for mothers, expectant mothers and birthing persons who reside Uptown. HRP Papas for fathers, expectant fathers, and those who identify as fathers, who reside Downtown.

South of Central Park HRP Mamas and HRP Papas

Battery Park City, Financial District, South Street Seaport, TriBeCa, SoHo, Nolita, Lower East Side, East Village, Greenwich Village, West Village, Union Square, Gramercy, Flatiron, Chelsea, Hudson Yards, Hell's Kitchen and Midtown East.

North of Central Park Central Park Mamas

Columbus Circle, Sutton Place, Yorkville, Upper East Side, Upper West Side and areas surrounding Central Park.

Step one Apply

Fill in the application online. List a reference if you know a current member.

Step two Verify

Our membership coordinators review your application. Once approved you will get a welcome email and a link to pay for your subscription.

No reference, or would you rather not wait? Book a verification call with a coordinator.

Step three Activate

Once payment is complete you will receive a welcome notice and be added to our private online community.

No reference? Not a problem

If you cannot name a current member, the application includes a link to book a short virtual appointment with a membership coordinator, who will serve as your reference.

Most applicants who take that route are activated the same day they apply. Subscriptions support our mission and cover operating costs, and are non-refundable.

What comes with your membership

Our online community offers several resources.

01HRP MamasFor mothers, expectant mothers and birthing persons, those who identify as mothers, and non-binary parents living Downtown. Active since 2004.

02HRP PapasFor fathers, expectant fathers, those who identify as fathers, and non-binary parents living Downtown. Established in 2021, for advice, discussion and meet-ups.

03Central Park MamasFor mothers, birthing persons and non-binary parents who live Uptown in the neighborhoods surrounding Central Park. This group started in 2023 and is growing nicely.

04Downtown ClassifiedsOpen to HRP Mamas and HRP Papas. Used and new gear, childcare and household help recommendations, real estate and vacation rentals.

05ChildcareOpen to all members. Sitters, nannies and household help, recommended and reviewed by the parents who have actually employed them.

06Cohort ChatsSubgroups by due and birth date, and by neighborhood, where members meet in person near where they live.

07Weekly Support GroupsFree weekly expectant and new mom groups, and breastfeeding support groups led by IBCLC lactation consultants. Running virtually for easy access in those early days of motherhood.

08Prenatal and Parenting WorkshopsMember rates on our childbirth, breastfeeding essentials, newborn care and parenting workshops.

09Affinity SubgroupsCareer support groups, language and culture subgroups, and groups formed around what members have in common, including mamas with multiples, children with special needs and single mamas.

There are many more subgroups besides these, formed around what members have in common.

Outside our neighborhoods?

Our events are open to everyone.
